So far the iTunes Festival has been very exciting and fresh. For God sakes, Lady Gaga kicked off the fest with the premier of her highly anticipated album “Art Pop, “ with enough “monsters” in the audience that could scare Frankenstein. Apple has transformed once again from a software/computer to festival extraordinaire, featuring the hottest acts straight from the iTunes store to the stage of the iTunes Fest.
The fest consists of an emerging artist, backed up by a music veteran, which equals an unbelievable and epic performance. It’s London’s most exciting time of live music all month long. The festival can be seen on the iTunes music store, on Apple TV and the free iTunes Festival app. The iTunes Festival raises the bar for music festivals, leaving a standard that is hard to compete with. Even though many might not be able to be festival goers, they have the opportunity to stream the fest and it’s a awesome reward for being an iTunes member.
This year’s fest consists of the Lumineers, Queens of the Stoneage, Paramore, Kings of Leon, Elton John, Jack Johnson, Kendrik Lamar, 30 Seconds to Mars, Janelle Monae, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry. What a stellar lineup!
